Joe Connors - Councilman-at-Large, President

Joseph E Connors, 51, grew up in South Amboy, graduating from H G Hoffman High School n 1972. After attending Middlesex County College, he then attended Rutgers University. Previously employed at Dupont for 28 years, Connors is currently serves as a supervisor in the Cyrel Research and Development Dept. He and his wife of 29 years, Debbie, have 3 children. Tara. Brain and Erin.
 

• Served on Vestry for 3 terms as a member of Christ Church.
• Coached youth Baseball and Softball for 26 years (1973-1996)
• Member of Protection Engine Company No. 1 since 1973, and has served as Captain and Secretary
• South Amboy Planning Board Member Since 1988, serving as Chairman for 12 years
• Member of South Amboy Recreation Advisory Committee for 8 years (1989-1997)
• Member of South Amboy Juvenile Conference Committee for 6 years (1995 -2001)
• Member of Democratic committee from (1989-1996)
• Member South Amboy Board of Education (1997-2002)
