City of South Amboy Announces Date for its Third Annual Irish Festival

The City of South Amboy, in conjunction with the South Amboy Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, recently announced the date of their upcoming Third Annual Irish Festival.  The festival will be held on Saturday, September 9 from 1-8 pm at Waterfront Park, South Amboy which overlooks Raritan Bay.
 
This year’s event will feature both food and craft vendors, food trucks as well as food and clothing items for sale by local non-profit organizations. A free Kid’s Zone complete with games, mechanical rides, a rock wall, face painting, jugglers and puppet shows will be offered throughout the day.
 
The festival also includes scheduled performances by The Willie Lynch Band, The Snakes Irish Rock Band, The Bantry Boys Irish Folk Band, Collegium Musicum, The D.B. Kelly Pipes and Drums, as well as performances by the students of two Irish Schools of Dance.
 
Multiple parking areas will be available throughout the city with free bus transportation from these parking sites to and from the festival. Please check the New Jersey Transit train schedules for routes to and from the South Amboy Train Station.
