The City of South Amboy is pleased to announce another addition to the City’s efforts to keep residents informed about ongoing activities. In cooperation with the South Amboy Redevelopment Agency, the City recently installed a large format LED sign at the entrance to the South Amboy Middle/High School and Library complex. This latest addition will allow both the Schools and The Sadie Pope Dowdell Library to advertise ongoing activities at the campus and will also provide another method of urgent messaging in the event of an emergency.
“This is another example of how the City government, South Amboy Schools, and the Redevelopment Agency can work together to achieve projects that benefit all residents. We have received many compliments on our first digital sign at City Hall and hope to gradually extend our digital outreach as redevelopment continues in the City”, said Mayor Fred Henry.
Funding for the sign was provided by the South Amboy Redevelopment Agency [SARA]. Executive Director Eric Chubenko said, “this is just a small example of the type of projects we hope to accomplish in support of our schools, library, and recreational programs in the City. As we review each application for redevelopment in the city, the Authority tries to ensure smart growth that will support those important functions of the City that benefit the most residents.”
