Please clear snow and ice from your sidewalks as City Ordinance (137-1) gives you 12 hours of daylight to get this done. We want our sidewalks clear to help make certain that our children are safe when walking to and from school. Additionally, many folks walk to places of worship, as well as to various stores and shops. Your responsibility includes sidewalks that abut (front, side or rear) your property.

Also, please remember that according to City Ordinance 137-2 “no owner, tenant or occupant of any premises abutting on any street shall throw, place or deposit any snow or ice into or on any street in the city.”

The weather is supposed to get much colder for the next few days so please try to get to these sidewalks clear today. Your cooperation is not only mandatory but greatly appreciated.
