South Amboy has been placed under quarantine due to the presence of the spotted lanternfly.  This insect while not directly harmful to humans is a pest that will cause damage to plants.  This link provides good information about how to help in eliminating this pest and how to avoid contributing to the spread.  Please take a moment to review the material.  There is no need to report sightings.  The State is aware that we have had sightings.
